1.Registration
Registrations are open all year round.
There are no registration fees.
Registration is done only by completing the registration form, which can be found on our website Lazar Music School Sign Up .
There is no entrance exam.
Before deciding which payment plan you prefer you can book a separate lesson to get to know the teacher and see if his method of teaching suits you.
The reservation of this course is made via stripe, after having registered on our site.
This registration is not a commitment.
Each person who sends the registration form through our website is designated by these terms of cooperation. Completing and submitting this form confirms that the student has read and accepted these conditions.
2.Payment Plans
I. GOLD
ANNUAL (10 months) – one payment €1680 (option possible until 15/09)
If the registration takes place in the middle of the month, the amount will not be recalculated.
II. DIAMOND
PER Trimester – payment in 3 installments (the request must be submitted before the start of the term)
If registration takes place after the start of the term, the amount will be recalculated according to the remaining weeks.
- end of August – 720€ (max. 16 hours of lessons) September – December
- end of December – 540€ (max. 12 hours of lessons) January – March
- end of March – 540€ (max. 12 hours of lessons) April – June
III. FLEX
Payments per lesson (48€/hour) are possible.
Lessons must be booked and paid one week in advance and no later than 48 hours before the scheduled lesson.
Only the payment is flexible, not the teacher’s lesson dates.
The place is allocated each week to the same teacher.
Without cancellation at least 48 hours in advance, the teacher will wait for the student at the same time each week.
3.General terms of payment
Payments are made only by bank transfer no later than 48 hours before the scheduled course.
If the lesson reservation – for a new student – is made less than 48 hours before the lesson date, a proof of payment will be sent by email.
For existing students, payment can be made by transfer to the school account, only after receipt of the payment request:

In case of different surnames of the parents, in the communication of transfer, it is necessary to include the surname and the first name of the student.
4.Payment reminders
After sending the payment request, a period of 7 working days is allocated to make the payment.
The administration can send up to one free reminder for payment. The next reminders will be considered as late payments and the payment will be charged 15€ per reminder. A maximum of 3 (paid) reminders can be sent, after which the student is removed from the student list.
5.Individual lessons
Lessons are individual, lasting 60 minutes.
There will be studied elements such as music theory in practice, work on technique, elements of improvisation, repertoire, à vista (read the notes at first sight), according to the method proposed by the teacher and which is the most appropriate for the student’s motivation.
Appointments for classes during the summer holidays (July, August) are possible depending on the availability of the teachers. Lessons are not included in the payment plans shown above.
* When children cannot keep their concentration, the teacher may decide to shorten the lesson to the duration of the child’s ability. For older students, we recommend a minimum of one hour to go through all the elements planned for the lesson which will allow quick progress.
6.Courses and participation
In order to ensure that young children do not encounter academic difficulties, the lesson time will be prioritized in the hours before 7:00 p.m., keeping for adult students the later hours (however, the available places can be allocated to anyone if the place is free).
7.Late arrival
All students must arrive on time.
There will be no extended lesson, due to respect for time and organization of others.
8.Rework
For all three Payment Plans, in case of absence, lessons can be reworked during the ongoing period, depending on the availability of the student, the teacher and the class, only if the absence has been announced at least 48 hours in advance. Missing lessons cannot be recovered after the end of the ongoing period.
The date to rework the lesson is to be discussed directly with the teacher. The student has the responsibility to be available to rework his missing lessons that were previously granted.
The teacher will plan the lesson and will inform the administration of any rework by email and by notifying in his lesson book (GS) as soon as possible and no later than 48 hours in advance of the planned rework.
In no case is it accepted to reschedule a rework date already scheduled before. In case of absence the lesson is lost permanently.
Unannounced absences, at least 48 hours in advance, cannot be recovered or reimbursed, except with a medical certificate or proven accident, which we do not wish on anyone.
In the case of non-serious illness of the student or the teacher, the live course will automatically go online. The necessary facilities must be put in place. If the online lesson is not attended, it will be counted as an uninformed absence and it will be charged.
9.Absence of the teacher
If the teacher plans to take days off, he will inform the secretariat by email at [email protected] and the student as soon as possible and at the latest 48 hours in advance of the scheduled lesson. The teacher is responsible for organizing a replacement or a rework on the day of the absence.
There are two possibilities to rework the lesson according to the choice of the student:
The course is given the same day, at the same time, by an available replacement teacher.
The course is postponed to another date or time in agreement with the student and the teacher.
10.School holidays and public holidays
Lazar Music School is a private school. Due to the different timetables of the different school systems in Belgium, Lazar Music School operates according to the Brussels Capital system calendar with the flexibility to rework certain weeks.

For a better organization of the courses, it is recommended that each student compare his agenda with our calendar at the start of registration.
If the student follows his general courses in a school with a timetable different from ours, and he wants a personalized timetable, he is obliged to communicate before the start of the school year the exact days (not periods) when he will be absent, to remove these courses from his payment plan.
If the exact dates of his absences are not communicated before the payment request is sent, this will not be modified afterwards, the student will follow the courses offered according to our school calendar (Brussels Capital).
11.Cancellations
The lessons are not refunded under any circumstances, neither in the event of absence, nor in the event of interruption of the lessons before the end of the period, nor in the event of the student being late.
In all other cases, e.g. strikes, demonstrations, transport problems etc. lessons are not reimbursed.
Absences reported in advance and no later than 48 hours before the course can be reworked during the month or period concerned, once a month depending on the availability of the student, the teacher and the class.
Please inform as soon as possible and at the latest 48 hours before, of all your absences (and holidays) by email to the secretariat (CC: [email protected]) and put your teacher in the copy.
The student (or the parent) is responsible for asking the teacher for the opportunity to rework. If the request has not been made, the missing lesson will not be reworked.
12.Termination of contract
Any student can end his contract by informing as soon as possible and at the latest 1 month before the end of the paid period (before the end of the year or before the end of the term) by writing by email to the administration of the school: [email protected]
The money will not be refunded for the purpose of canceling the contract before the end of the year (Gold subscription or Diamond subscription).
The reimbursement of money can be discussed only in the event of an accident or long-term illness, which we do not wish on anyone.
The school management reserves the right to cancel registration and no longer give lessons to a student, in the event of frequent problems encountered during payments, after a maximum of 3 reminders (paid by the student) the right to cancel the registration will be exercised.
If the student misses 3 lessons without informing the school, their registration may be canceled and the place assigned to another student. In this case, the lessons will not be refunded.
13.Image rights
Lazar Music School may use photos and/or videos of the students concert and lessons as motivation for students or to publicize school activities on social media or on the school website.
We inform that on the territory of the school there are surveillance cameras for the safety of students and teachers.
If you do not want you or your child to appear publicly, please let us know as soon as possible by email.
Unless otherwise stated, Lazar Music School will treat this as an agreement.
14.Protection of personal information
We are committed to maintaining the accuracy, confidentiality and security of your personally identifiable information (“Personal Information”). As part of this commitment, our Privacy Policy governs our actions with respect to the collection, use and disclosure of personal information.
The personal information collected will be limited to the details necessary for the purposes we have identified. By completing the registration form we have your consent, we may also collect personal information from you in person, by telephone or by corresponding with you by mail, facsimile or Internet.
Personal information may only be used or disclosed for the purposes for which it was collected, except with your consent or as required or permitted by law.
15.Dispute and Amendment Rights.
Any dispute relating to these general conditions available on the site and/or submitted to parents electronically falls within the jurisdiction of: The Justice of the Peace of the Canton of St Gilles located at 1060 Brussels, Parvis St Gilles 1, if the amount of the dispute does not exceed €2,500.
The courts of the French-speaking First Instance of Brussels if the amount of the dispute exceeds €2,500.
The school management reserves the right to modify the conditions at any time for a better functioning of Lazar Music School and to inform – in writing – the student of any modification.
